Hometown Christian Magazine ~Mar Issue

Hometown Christian Magazine!

By: Sabrina Greene, Poetress

There I was in the third grade,

Sitting across from Jenny Patrick,

and somewhat timid and afraid.

She looks so cute,

She sure is nice,

Though I don’t think about her much,

Okay, well maybe, once or twice.

With bright green eyes, and pretty

locks of bright red hair.

She’s quite the sight,

Oh, It is so hard not to stare.

As I gaze across the classroom,

to my immediate surprise.

There she is looking back at me,

right in the center of my eyes.

She made me blush,

my face turned red.

Immediately I wanted to rush home,

and hide under my bed.

Just then the bell rang,

class was dismissed.

She ran across the room,

gave my cheek a kiss.

This sure was my lucky day,

if the story could be told.

I would rather have that kiss,

more than a pot of gold.

The little red-headed girl made my heart start to sing,

Then I saw shooting stars, flashing lights, and my ears began to ring!

I wanted to shout at the top of my voice… HURRAY!

I JUST GOT MY FIRST KISS ON ST. PADDY’S IRISH DAY … YEA!
